      • Focusing on conferences and panels
      • Alisa Hanson is strategist from NY marketing firm with DPP interest, Elias met at SXSW and in NY during his recent visit. Alisa's comments:
        • Reviewing existing material
        • Looking at upcoming conference opportunities for DPP
        • Taking inventory of other DPP opportunities
        • Working on creating a communication's roadmap, draft by end of week
    • DataPortability Analyst Projects

    • Motion submitted by Elias for the creation of a Governance Advisory Group, to be chaired by the secretary, Steve Repetti; passed without dissent
    • Discussion regarding DPP joining IDTBD/NewOrg (official name to be determined)
      • DPP invited to become founding member
      • Liberty Alliance -> Next Generation = IDTBD/NewOrg, to be like W3C for Identity
      • Big-time participants, currently targeting $2MM annual budget
      • Concerns (comments/resolution)
        • Fees (DPP fees to be waived)
        • Value to DPP, how to resolve conflicted positions (Allows DPP to tap into larger resources and relevant conversations; DPP can have different position; DPP can leave the organization at any time)
        • (Dan B.) Does neworg take any strong view re patent policy; eg. make only royalty free specs, or sometimes RAND? (Steve W.: They have a pretty open policy around patents, with escape mechanisms if a company can't give the patent license called for)
