What is the EULA and ToS template?The DataPortability Project recognises that to truly achieve its vision, it needs to help drive the conversation on policy. While the technology exists, the legal and policy issues are extremely complex. An opportunity of moving forward is in designing template EULA and ToS agreements that companies can adopt, and this has been identified as one of our core deliverables for 2009. These documents synthesise a lot of the thinking of the DataPortability Project and will provide a building block in the ecosystem to realise our Vision & mission. The eventual goal is to create a federated system of services that allows privacy-respecting interoperability. For further information, contact the EULA and ToS task force. |
