DataPortability Task Force Members

A Task Force is a group that is chartered by the Steering group with addressing a single problem or issue. It is assumed that a Task Force group has a limited life span and will disband once its work is complete. There are usually a couple Task Forces that are active and open to the public for participation. Please visit our Task Force page for currently active task forces or contact a member of the Steering Committee to discuss starting a new Task Force on behalf of the DataPortability Project.

DataPortability Action Groups

DataPortability Action Groups are official standing committees, approved by the Steering Group, whose charters define specific, ongoing work to realize the DataPortability Project mission. Action Groups start as an idea by any member of the community, are proposed to the Steering Group, and are lead by a Chair. Please see the Action Group page for more information about active Action Groups and to contact the Chair of the Action Group that you are interested in participating in.

DataPortability Steering Committee

The DataPortability Project Steering Group helps manage the operational aspects of the project and is primarily focused on oversight of specific community initiatives. The work performed by the Steering Group is aimed at furthering the goals of the project as a whole, facilitating the work of the Action Groups and Task Forces and the broader community. The Steering Group is not focused on specific project deliverables, but on supporting the work by the other groups. The Steering Group is made up of 12 voting members of the project community who volunteer their time along with the input and guidance of other participating community members. Please see our Governance Model to learn more about Steering. Open positions are posted on the public and vote discussion lists as they become open.
